While advising a graduate student today, I was challenged to define what it is to simply be. I described it as existing with intentional effortlessness. To me, the intention is fulfillment without an agenda.
Here are some examples:
snuggle with an animal
lay on the couch
read a book
sit in the bath
watch a documentary
take a walk
go for a run
sit under a tree
write or talk about your thoughts
meditate
pray
breathe
dance
sing
Look for simple things and be.
